IDFC First Select Credit Card: Alternatives

Before I speak about alternatives, let me state the factors that I liked about this credit card.

  1. Buy 1 Get 1 Movie Tickets offer every month.
  2. Railway Lounge Access (apart from Domestic Airport Lounge)
  3. Lifetime Free Card.

But in terms of rewards, I cannot say much because we are still in darkness about its rewards scheme. Let’s wait, and I will update you when we find out more about it. Meanwhile, I have a few alternative credit cards to suggest that are also Lifetime Free or converted to Lifetime Free with the available methods.

Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card:

A lifetime free credit card issued by ICICI Bank in partnership with Amazon India, the Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card is surely a fan favorite for millions of Indians who regularly shop from Amazon. It gives a flat 5% cashback (no capping) for any shopping on Amazon, 2% for Gift Cards, 3% on Amazon preferred merchants and 1% on anywhere else. The rewards get credited as Amazon Pay Balance.

HDFC Millennia Credit Card:

HDFC Millennia Credit Card is a great entry-level credit card offered by HDFC Bank for all shoppers. It offers 5% cashback from Amazon and Flipkart each, 2.5% cashback from other online transactions, and 1% cashback for offline. Being an HDFC Credit Card, it takes advantage of all smartpay and payzapp offers as well. HDFC Cards can also be converted to Lifetime Free very easily.

OneCard Metal Credit Card:

OneCard features in our list because IDFC Bank also offers it, runs on VISA Signature, and is a Lifetime Free Credit Card. Reward wise, this isn’t much good either, especially in front of the other two I mentioned above. But the only reason I am writing about it is that it is the only affordable fully metal credit card. That’s something good, at least!

IDFC First Select Credit Card: Eligibility Criteria

  • All the IDFC First Credit Cards are offered as pre-approved cards for the initial rounds depending on your CIBIL Score. No documents will be collected from you.
  • IDFC First Bank will be assessing your creditworthiness and offer you the best credit card.
  • If you have a savings account with IDFC First Bank or a Niyo IDFC Account, you will have a better chance at getting the card faster, with a higher credit limit. So, you may consider opening an IDFC First Bank Account if you don’t have one yet.
