IDFC First Millennia Credit Card: Alternatives

Before I speak about alternatives, let me state the factors that I liked about this credit card.

  1. Interest-free cash withdrawals from ATMs. Not all credit cards have this feature.
  2. Railway Lounge Access (apart from Domestic Airport Lounge)
  3. Lifetime Free Card.

But in terms of rewards, I cannot say much because we are still in darkness about its rewards scheme. Let’s wait, and I will update you when we find out more about it. Meanwhile, I have a few alternative credit cards to suggest that are also Lifetime Free or converted to Lifetime Free with the available methods.

HDFC Millennia Credit Card

Similar to IDFC Millennia, HDFC also offers HDFC Millennia Credit Card in partnership with VISA, Mastercard, and Diners Club. These are best suited for millennials and offers great online usage benefits. You will get 5% cashback on Amazon and Flipkart, 2.5% cashback on regular online transactions, and 1% of offline retail use and wallet loading. You can easily apply and convert HDFC Credit Card to Lifetime Free too.

Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card

If you shop from Flipkart regularly, then the Flipkart Axis Bank credit card is for you. You will earn 5% unlimited cashback on Flipkart and Myntra shopping and 1.5% cashback on regular online and offline transactions. You will earn 4% in Uber, MakeMyTrip, and Cult.fit. There is no monthly cap on how much you can earn.

Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card

Similar to Flipkart Axis credit card, the Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card offers 5% unlimited cashback on Amazon shopping, 3% on Amazon preferred merchants and 1% on regular online transactions. One good thing about this card is that it offers cashback for wallet loading transactions also, which the other one doesn’t.

OneCard Metal Credit Card

OneCard is on this list for 2 reasons: It is also an IDFC Bank card in partnership with FPL Technologies, and it is a Metal Credit Card. This makes it the most affordable Metal Credit Card! It is a Lifetime Free VISA Signature variant card, which comes with all benefits of a VISA Signature as well. Check out the OneCard Metal Credit Card.

IDFC First Millennia Credit Card: Eligibility Criteria

  • The good news is, for the initial round, all the IDFC First Credit Cards are offered on a pre-approved basis, depending on your creditworthiness and relationship with the bank. You won’t be required to submit any documents.
  • IDFC First Bank will assess your credit profile and offer you a card according to its own discretion.
  • Since it is a preapproved card, your relationship with the bank matters a lot in deciding how fast you will get the invite and how much credit limit will be assigned to you. So, consider creating an IDFC First Bank Savings Account or a Niyo IDFC Account if you want to get more benefits. Again, you have a high tier IDFC First Bank Account; it will certainly escalate the process.
