Good News Jio Users. Now you don’t need to worry if you are stuck somewhere outside and want to recharge your Jio 4G Mobile Number. Now you can recharge your Jio Prepaid Number or JioPhone from your nearest ATM.
Yes, you heard that right!
Accessing Jio 4G services is now one step closer. You can just visit an ATM and use your Bank Credit Card or Debit Card to Recharge your mobile number. I would suggest using Debit Card (ATM Card) only, as using Credit Card for ATM transactions will attract excess charges.
Since its inception on 5th September 2016, the impact of Jio in the telecom industry has been revolutionary. It had brought down substantial data charges and made it economical. Its network coverage is also widespread.
But recently, Jio 4G network speeds had been dropping, due to overload and network congestion, especially in cities, where the population density is heavy. But Jio is gradually trying to improve it, and we shall see better network connectivity someday!
Anyways, in today’s post, I will discuss the step by step guide on how to recharge your Jio number from any ATM.
Which Bank ATMs are supported for Jio Mobile Recharge?
Well, this Jio Mobile Recharge is a soft update across all the atm networks in India, from the supported banks which partnered with Jio.
As of now, this facility is available with 9 Bank ATMs only. In the future, more banks will be added.
Also, please note that you need to have cards of these bank accounts only. For other bank ATM cards, it won’t work.
- State Bank of India
- Axis Bank
- ICICI Bank
- HDFC Bank
- IDBI Bank
- CITI Bank
- DCB Bank
- AUF Bank
- Standard Chartered Bank
If you see any of these banks ATMs around, you can just go inside and recharge your Jio mobile. You don’t even look for cash in the ATM, as the recharge will be done using your Bank Account Balance.
Step by Step Guide to Recharge Jio 4G using ATM Machine:
Here’s a step by step guide to recharging your Jio mobile number from your nearest ATM Machine.
Please note that every bank uses a different UI for navigating through the options, so the steps might differ a bit in the real world scenario depending on which bank ATM you are using. So, be cautious about that and go through it responsibly.
- Insert your card in the ATM Machine.
- In the displayed menu, you will find a ‘Recharge’ option. Choose that.
- Enter your 10 Digit Jio Mobile Number (without any prefixes) that you want to recharge.
- Enter your ATM Pin. While entering the PIN, make sure you cover it with your other hand or use your mobile phone to cover it.
- Now enter the recharge amount. You can check Jio 4G Plans here to know the exact recharge plan you need.
- Confirm it by choosing Enter.
- Your Jio 4G mobile number will be recharged, and you can see the recharge confirmation message on your screen. The amount will be debited from your bank account.
- Take out your ATM Card from the ATM Machine.
- You will get a recharge confirmation SMS and Email from Jio on your Mobile. Check for that.
Congratulations! You have successfully recharged your Jio Mobile number using ATM Card.

Q: Is this facility available at all supported bank ATMs in the country?
Ans: Yes. It is available or will be available soon at all supported bank ATMs.
Q: I have a supported Bank Card. Can I use any non-supported Bank ATM to recharge my Jio Mobile?
Ans: No, you cannot. You need to use any supported Bank ATM only.
Q: I have a supported Bank Card. Can I use any other supported Bank ATM to recharge my Jio Mobile?
Ans: You should be able to recharge. But this has not yet been verified by me or anyone I know of. You can try it and let me know; I will update it.
Q: I do not have a supported Bank Card. Can I use any supported Bank ATM to recharge my Jio Mobile?
Ans: No. Since your bank has not yet participated in this program, you cannot recharge your Jio Mobile using this facility.
