Jio’s New Prepaid Tariff Plans February 2022

Just a few days after the announcement of the new prepaid tariff plan hikes by Airtel and Vinow Reliance Jio also announced the new rates for all its unlimited prepaid plans, JioPhone plans, and the data add-on plans. The new prepaid plans will be put into use from 1st December 2021. Hence, all the Jio users will still have two days to recharge their Jio number with the old prepaid plans. Jio has said that the new prepaid plans have been launched to ensure a strong or sustainable telecom industry. The JioPhone plans, unlimited voice, and data plans, and data add-on plans, will be affected by the latest increment of the tariff plans that range from 19.6% to 21.3%.

Jio's New Prepaid Tariff Plans

In our previous posts, we have talked about the Airtel Prepaid Tariff Plans and VI Prepaid Tariff Plans. In today’s post, we will have a look at the latest updated tariff plans for Jio. Here’s an overview:

JioPhone Basic Tariff Plan:

Currently, the Rs.75 plan for the JioPhone users is an exclusive plan for the users who enjoys the services of Jio in JioPhone. In this plan, the users get unlimited voice calling with 0.1 GB per day (total 3 GB data per month) 4G data + 200 MB extra 4G data, and 50 SMS with a plan validity of 28 days. Now, with the increment in the price of the prepaid plans of Jio, the same plan will cost you Rs.91 with all the same benefits and same plan validity. This also signifies that the users have to pay Rs. 16 more to avail the benefits of this plan from 1st December.

Jio Unlimited Voice and Data Plans:

1 GB per day data with unlimited voice 

Presently, the Rs. 149 plan of Reliance Jio gives you unlimited voice calling and unlimited data of 1 GB per day (total 24 GB data) along with 100 SMS per day benefits with a pack validity of 24 days. But, from 1st December onwardsyou’ll get the same benefits of this plan with the updated price of Rs. 179. 

1.5 GB per day data with unlimited voice 

Presently, the Rs. 199 plan, Rs.399 plan, and Rs. 555 plan gives you unlimited voice calling with 1.5 GB data per day and 100 SMS per day benefits with a plan validity of 28 days (for Rs. 199 unlimited plan), 56 days (for Rs. 399 unlimited plan), and 84 days (for Rs. 599 unlimited plan). But, from 1st December onwards, the price of these unlimited plans will be Rs. 239 (validity of this plan is 28 days), Rs. 479 (validity of this plan is 56 days) and Rs. 666 (validity of this plan is 84 days). The user will also get a complimentary subscription to Jio apps like Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Jio Security, etc.

2 GB per day data with unlimited voice 

Presently, the Rs. 249 plan, Rs. 444 plan, Rs. 599 plan and Rs. 2399 plan gives you unlimited voice calling with 2 GB data per day and 100 SMS per day benefits with a plan validity of 28 days (for Rs. 249 unlimited plan), 56 days (for Rs. 444 unlimited plan), 84 days (for Rs. 599 unlimited plan) and 365 days or 1-year validity (for Rs. 2399 unlimited plan). But, from 1st December onwards, the price of these unlimited plans will be Rs. 299 (validity of this plan is 28 days), Rs. 533 (validity of this plan is 56 days), Rs. 719 (validity of this plan is 84 days) and Rs. 2879 (validity of this plan is 365 days).

Other Data and Voice Plans of Jio:

Presently, the Rs. 329 Plan gives you unlimited voice calling with 6 GB data (limited data) and 1000 SMS with a plan validity of 84 days. Similarly, the other voice and data plan i.e., the Rs. 1299 Plan also gives you unlimited voice calling with 24 GB limited data and 3600 SMS with a plan validity of 336 days. But, from 1st December onwards, these plans are also affected by the price hike of the prepaid plans of Jio where the Rs. 329 plan of Jio will cost you Rs. 395 and the Rs. 1299 plan will cost you at the price of Rs. 1559. The validity of Rs. 395 plan and Rs. 1299 plan is 84 days and 336 days respectively.

Data Add On Plans of Jio:

The Data Top-Up Plans of Jio have also been affected by the price hike of the prepaid tariff plansThe price of the existing data top-up plan of Rs.51 will be increased to Rs. 61 in which Jio users get 6 GB of data. Similarly, the price of the other data top-up plan of Rs. 101 will be increased to Rs. 121 in which Jio users get 12 GB of data. There is another Data Top-Up Plan of Rs. 251 in which the Jio users get 50 GB of data with a plan validity of 30 days. But, the price of this plan will also be increased to Rs. 301 from 1st December 2021. 

Conclusion:

Through this article, we’ve discussed the new prepaid tariff plans from Reliance Jio which will come into effect from 1st December 2021.
